A visitor

Have been somewhat busy and preoccupied over the last few weeks which has seen posting slow down somewhat.

Some pics from a month or so ago when I got to play cameraman with a surprisingly friendly visitor are finally up though.

Jon any idea what species the visitor is? It looks like a chameleon but I am not sure we have those in Thailand.

No idea Mike, was hoping a bright spark might be able to figure that one out for more.

I took these two (and a lot more) either side of a 15 minute break assuming they are of the same fella. However they don't look too similar do they?

Thanks Boonsong, my photo skills are pretty average but the camera is pretty good.

Aw, thanks, nice to know someone missed me.

Sure, feel free to reuse them, if you prefer the original copy I can shoot one over to you.

Jon if the colours were different then it suggest a chameleon since they change to background colour, the shot near the water suggests this. May be some bright spark is reading this now.

Jon smashing photos. I've seen and photographed something similar in Wilai's village, just outside our front gate. I was going to do a post on it because it looked like it had a red shirt on and brown trousers. Very apt at the time, Ratchaprasong and all that.

Sometimes the lizards in our garden scare the ass out of me. Now and again I just catch a glimpse of one their tails poking out of a rock or shrubbery and I immediately think 'SNAKE', I then realize what it is.

Reading Mike's comment then maybe the one I photo-ed was some king of chameleon because it was on the edge of a red dirt road. Like I said its top half was red and the lower half brown. It was only a small thing, may be eight inches from head to tail.
